Georgia Tech-Europe

Georgia Tech-Europe (GTE) was established in 1990 as the Institute's first international instructional site in Metz, France. GTE allows students to pursue their Georgia Tech degree while being immersed in the rich culture of Europe. Georgia Tech-Europe offers a balance of engineering, computer science, humanities, French language, management, and social science courses from the Georgia Tech course catalog. Courses are specifically designed to fulfill students' major and International Plan requirements, and students may also take advantage of undergraduate research and international internship opportunities.

Georgia Tech-Europe also offers graduate programs in mechanical engineering, electrical and computer engineering, aerospace engineering, and computer science. Cooperative agreements with local partner institutions enable GTE graduate students to pursue double degrees in engineering and sciences in addition to degrees from Georgia Tech.

GTE is home to the Institut Lafayette and the GT-CNRS UMI 2958, a joint research laboratory with the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique, the largest scientific research organization in Europe. Institut Lafayette has state-of-the-art research facilities and a well-funded research program, enabling students and faculty opportunities for innovative research and industry collaborations.
